Parents are uniquely qualified to protect their children
In Saskatchewan parental consent is not required for a minor to receive an abortion. A new public awareness campaign was recently launched with a goal of changing that.
A procedure that can impact a young woman for the rest of her life can be done without any consent or even knowledge of her parent or guardian. This is regrettable and through this campaign it is hoped that awareness will be brought to this reality and an eventual change in law.
